Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our property management company has been doing all we can to help the tenants and landlords of the rental properties we manage. We help our tenants to stay in their homes and our landlords to continue to be able to make mortgage payments.
If we are managing your Denver area rental, we’re happy to walk you through the payment assistance application process at no extra charge.
What We Offer Renters
While we don’t provide financial aid ourselves, we do maintain a directory of local agencies and organizations that provide payment help. This temporary aid can help you stabilize your housing situation during the uncertainty of the national pandemic.
Please note that these aren’t ongoing rental assistance programs.
What Do You Need?
Applications often require you to supply documentation proving proof of your emergency circumstances. Below is a list of common examples that you may want to prepare in advance. Once your application is complete and approved, rent relief payments will be issued directly to your landlord.
- Current Lease
- Information About The Cause Of Financial Crisis (Job Loss, Illness, Etc.)
- Picture ID
- Proof Of Address
- Proof Of Household Income (Pay Stub, Letter From Employer Or Company Letterhead, Social Security Benefits Letter, Etc.)
- Proof Of Rent Due
Colorado’s Rent Relief Programs
Denver offers state and federally subsidized rental assistance through various programs. If you’re already receiving financial help through another program – like a housing voucher – you may not be eligible for more aid.
Denver is also home to private organizations that offer emergency financial assistance. Some have a long history of serving low-income people in need. Others were founded to help those affected by COVID-19 specifically.
- Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP)
- Property Owner Preservation (POP) Programs
- Temporary Rental & Utility Assistance (TRUA) Program
- Private Non-Profit Organizations
- Faith-Based Charities
